Our story

2024 - 2025

Development of the EurekIA™ “Idea Catcher” device, the companion EurekIA™ mobile application, and the EurekIA™ Ideation Workshop platform, testing suite, website setup, establishment of manufacturing, logistics, marketing, and a financial plan, expansion of the management team, and launch of the first products.

2023

Building a seasoned local and international team comprised of family members, friends, trusted business partners, and experts in neuroscience, AI, creativity, software development and serial entrepreneurs. Their goal is to stimulate, train, multiply, and harness the creative power of “Eureka! moments”, placing the human at the center of the creative process. Their way of working is to work seriously without taking themselves too seriously, in good spirits, with respect, trust, and humility. Development of the EurekIA™ mobile application is underway, patent application, trademark filling.

2022

EurekIA™ is the latest technological adventure of Claude COULOMBE, a serial entrepreneur and scientist with a Ph.D. in cognitive computer science after studying physics. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs (5th generation) from Rivière-du-Loup in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of Québec, Claude is a seasoned software developer and inventor who has revolutionized French grammar checker technology using AI. He has also invented many specialized software programs in natural language processing (NLP) and a machine to remove black ice from sidewalks. In addition to his entrepreneurial activities, Claude teaches applications of computer vision, NLP and generative AI chatbots at the university level.

Inspired by Dali and Edison, I have been practicing “Creative nap” sessions for many years, which I call “creative micro-naps” (or créasieste in French as suggested by my dear friend Pierre BERLOQUIN). I use a keyring with a bunch of keys and a small tape recorder or my smartphone while sitting in my favorite Eero Aarnio ball chair. I used to believe the technique had been scientifically proven for ages, but that was before I heard about the wonderful experiment conducted by Célia LACAUX and Delphine OUDIETTE at the Institut du cerveau de Paris

A few creative naps later, the idea emerged for an ideation workshop centered on the human and that leverages “Eureka! moments” thanks to neurosciences and AI. – Claude COULOMBE, Ph.D.

Meet the Team

Based in Montréal, a city renowned for its creativity and its neuroscience and AI research centers, EurekIA™ is the latest technological venture by seasoned international team of relatives, friends, trusted business partners and experts in neuroscience, AI, creativity, software development and serial entrepreneurs.

Claude COULOMBE - Picture Claude, looking all serious and shaman-like in his Maxwell's suit, like he's the keeper of some ancient, mystical secret... which turns out to be just taking creative naps and catching those Eureka! moments.

Stéphane DURAND - Idea Chief Officer, physicist and professor, in one of his trademark flights of fancy. Prof Durand is known for his knack for making science sound less like, well, science, he teaches physics at Collège Édouard-Montpetit and the Université de Montréal, where he's also a researcher at the Centre de recherches mathématiques.

Arnaud FISCHER - Digital Marketing Maestro & AI Whisperer - a seasoned digital marketer with experience at major US tech companies, combines his extensive industry knowledge with a passion for innovation to develop cutting-edge strategies. He's trying to educate HOSHI on the finer points of marketing analytics.

Pierre SARRAZIN - A coder since the 8-bit era -- armed with a Master's in Computer Science from McGill University -- Pierre is a programmer who calls Montréal home. In his free time, he crafts free software, generously sharing it under free licenses. Pierre is the Robin Hood of code, except instead of stealing from the rich, he's giving to everyone.

(FR)David FORTIN - University professor and researcher, neurosurgeon, and MD, David is the brains behind EurekIA - because, well, someone's gotta be, and it might as well be a big one. Insatiably curious, David's a sponge for neuroscience and all things brain-related. He's a gifted explainer who's penned several books on the topic. By the way, David also separates Pierre from HOSHI...

HOSHI, a rather hefty Shiba Inu, is in charge of sniffing out potential venture capital investments. He's got a nose for success! For the moment, we agree with HOSHI that it's less risky to take our own risks... and maybe switch him to a carrot diet. Better for HOSHI and our Biosphere.
